Founded in early 2024 by former members of Gravpel, Nidelgret makes their mark with a resolutely singular black metal. Neither melodic, nor symphonic, nor atmospheric, nor NSBM: the band refuses all dogma and all labels. Their sound is raw without being old-school, at times experimental, but never avant-garde.

Fueled by influences as diverse as metal, punk, hardcore, classical and contemporary music, electronic, or even pop, the members of Nidelgret cultivate a broad, borderless musical vision.

Their debut album, Trauerlärm, literally "the noise of mourning", plunges into the heart of a universal theme: grief, and more broadly, the collective experience of loss that has run through our lives across the crises of recent years. A dark, personal, and deeply human work.
