Epectase
A true shape-shifter, Epectase defies all conventions with psychedelia and experimentation. 3 years after a first album released on I, Voidhanger Records, the group released Nécroses.
Over the course of 4 pieces for 44 minutes, the entity led by the multi-instrumentalist Vague and the singer/illustrator Avitus, offers a real sensory explosion where extreme metal, krautrock, post-rock and electronic atmospheres merge. Recorded and produced by the collective between several periods of isolation, Nécroses is a true stylistic tour de force, supported by the original work of American artist Paul Nager. Epectase offers here a real time capsule, an introspective and hallucinatory journey, where devastated landscapes and personal disintegration follow one another.
